About the Foundation
The mission of the Foundation is to support the health, welfare and educational interests of the Environmental Charter School (ECS) at Frick Park. The Foundation was established in October 2010 as the ECS fundraising arm and operates as a tax exempt organization under section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As a supporting organization to the ECS, the Foundation has a public charity status of 509 (a) (3). In addition to cash contributions, the Foundation is also qualified to receive deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts.
The Foundation’s efforts to bring supplemental support to the ECS are organized under four funds that contain innovative initiatives to enhance the school’s mission. Click on the 'Funds' tab in the left column for a description of these initiatives.
