8:00—8:15	Morning Meeting
8:15—9:45	Language Arts Block
9:45—11:15	Science Block, Environment, Ecology
11:15—12:00	Lunch & recess
12:00—1:30	Mathematics Block
1:30—2:15	“Specials” (art, music, physical education)
2:15—3:30	Social Studies Block

 This is a tentative schedule for first through third grades.  Each day, students will experience 90 minute blocks in reading and language arts, science and environmental studies, and mathematics.  They will also have a 70 minute block of social studies and a 45 minute lunch and recess period.  Throughout the week, students will be given 45 minutes of instruction in physical education, art, and music.  Each day will begin with a brief morning meeting to share positive school news and character development pieces.

The kindergarten schedule reflects additional time for nap and special area subjects.  Kindergarten students will have a 90 minute language arts block, a 60 minute mathematics block, and a 60 minute science and environmental studies block.  They will also have an additional 50 minute social studies block.
